Travel Packages

March 29, 2018
Arrive in New Orleans and check into the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel located on the corner of Bourbon Street and Canal Street in the French Quarter.  Meet your fellow travelers at a welcome reception with a premium open bar and passed hor d’oeuvres.    A brass band will escort you out of the hotel where a police escort will be waiting to lead the way down Bourbon Street.   This once in a life time private Mardi Gras style parade will end at the “fruit loop”  Bourbon Pub and Oz night clubs.

March 30, 2018
Enjoy a private full American breakfast buffet at the hotel before boarding the transportation for a tour of Houmas House Plantation.    Arrive and feast on a  Cajun lunch followed by a private tour of the plantation home.  The tour of  House Plantation and Gardens is so much more than just a tour of a grand antebellum estate. Experience the southern splendor of "The Sugar Palace" when you step into 16 rooms filled with period antiques and Louisiana artwork. Enjoy 38 lush acres of gardens, ponds and a majestic live oak alley.  Have some free time to wander the immaculate gardens and grounds.

March 31, 2018
Start the day with a private full American breakfast buffet at the hotel.   Your morning is free to explore or sleep in from your evening activities.   Your after noon tour will begin with a Gay Walking Tour in the French Quarter.   The two hour interactive exploration of New Orleans’ rich gay history and current LGBT community include the origins of Southern Decadence, the evolution of Gay Carnnival, the homes and watering holes of Tennessee Williams and Truman Capote, the gay connection to the JFK assassination, the tragic Upstairs Lounge fire, and much, much more. Hop on the transportation and depart for Mardi Gras World.  You know this is going to be a fun tour as soon as you arrive. Colorful Mardi Gras props, like a gigantic jovial jester, fiercely realistic alligators, and a gorgeously exciting Marilyn Monroe with skirt flying greet one and all to this amazing fantasy factory. You will even view the most awesome floats ever built for carnival.  Following the tour you will have the opportunity to create Mardi Gras mask to take home.  Each guest will be provided with one plastic mask, feathers, rhinestones, ribbon and all materials need to create their one-of-kind mask.

Experience where locals have been dining since 1918 at Arnaud’s Restaurant with a Mardi Gras themed brunch that includes an eye opener cocktail, wine, beer, soft drinks and water.  Located steps off of Bourbon Street in the heart of the French Quarter, Arnaud’s offers classic Creole Cuisine and exemplary service in beautifully restored turn of the century dining rooms. Arnaud’s has remained true to its traditions and courtesies. A quintessential New Orleans dining experience.  Bring your Mardi Gras mask!

This afternoon you may want to catch two Easter Parades that will roll through the French Quarter.  The first is the 35th annual Chris Owens French Quarter Easter Parde. This tradition, which began back in the early 1980s, features renowned French Quarter singer, dancer and all-around entertainer Chris Owens as the Grand Duchess. She stands proudly on her gaily decorated float, assisted by elegantly attired attendants while decked out in one of her stunning, tight-fitting outfits.  Later in the afternoon is the Gay Easter Parade which showcases riders on ride horse-drawn carriages or floats wearing showy versions of their Easter Sunday finest. Don’t be surprised if you see a gaggle of motorcycle dudes in leather and Easter bonnets might roar by. Spectators can expect to see (and catch!) plenty of beads and other throws
